NCPA Foundation Receives $100,000 from Purdue Pharma for First Ever Catalyst Grant Award for Innovative Practice ALEXANDRIA, Va. First National Community Pharmacy Bone Marrow Donor Drive A Success ALEXANDRIA, Va. (Dec. 28, 2009) – Community pharmacies from across the nation recruited over 600 new bone marrow donors during the first-ever National Community Pharmacy Bone Marrow Donor Drive, which was funded and organized by the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) Foundation in partnership with DKMS, the most experienced bone marrow donor center. The drive was hosted during National Bone Marrow Awareness Month—during the week of November 9 - November 14, 2009.

NCPA ANNOUNCES 2009 STUDENT CHAPTER OF THE YEAR AND STUDENT CHAPTER OUTSTANDING MEMBER OF THE YEAR AWARD WINNERS NEW ORLEANS, LA (Oct. 19, 2009) – The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) announced the top student chapter and outstanding student chapter members at the 111th Annual Convention and Trade Exposition. The 2009 NCPA Student Chapter of the Year is the University of Arkansas. The first runner-up is the University of Southern California. The second runner-up is Ohio Northern University. The 2009 NCPA Most Improved Chapter winner is Wilkes University, Nesbitt College of Pharmacy. In addition, 33 pharmacy students were honored as NCPA Outstanding Student Chapter Members of the Year after being nominated by their peers and faculty at each of their respective schools.
