Mr. Vincent contributed significantly to the improvement of the small business world and will be remembered for his philosophy of "leaving a place better." This outlook resulted in a rewarding career in the pharmacy profession, and he generously shared his talents and abilities to provide leadership to the profession and to his community. A graduate of the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy, Mr. Vincent developed Shop-All, Incorporated, a one-stop shop for all drug store, pharmaceutical, dry goods and food items. He later opened Vincent Drugs.

"Mr. Vincent definitely succeeded in leaving the independent pharmacy profession and the communities in which he lived and worked much better off because of his generosity, commitment, and personal involvement," said NCPA Foundation President Sharlea Leatherwood, P.D.

Other entrepreneurial projects during his career have demonstrated Mr. Vincent's wide range of interests. He served as a director and secretary to the board of the First National Bank of Yuma, which was established to provide alternative banking opportunities to the citizens of Yuma. He founded the Yuma Community Foundation and was instrumental in the development of the Yuma Life Care Center, a long-term care nursing home facility. He was also active in the Colorado Pharmacal Association, serving a term as president, and in the Northeast Colorado Pharmacal Association. A champion of entrepreneurism, Mr. Vincent was a panel judge for the NCPA Pruitt-Schutte Business Plan Competition for pharmacy students from 2004-07.

A guest of President and Nancy Reagan at the White House State Dinner honoring the President of Sri Lanka, Mr. Vincent received many honors and recognitions for his service to the profession and his community. Among his awards are the National Association of Retail Druggists (now NCPA) Commendation for Meritorious Service, Distinguished Service Award from the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy, and Honorary Commission to the Nebraska Navy.
