The NCPA Foundation respects the privacy of visitors to our Web site. To protect your online privacy, the NCPA Foundation has implemented the following policy that discloses the privacy practices for http://www.ncpafoundation.org/.

Information Collected – General

The NCPA Foundation is the sole owner of the information collected on our site. The NCPA Foundation, and its divisions, uses data collected to better serve independent community pharmacy; to improve our own web content; to process a user’s request (i.e. registration, product purchase, subscription service); to respond to visitors’ interests, needs and preferences; and to develop and market new products and services. This information is not sold or distributed in any other manner that is not disclosed in this policy.

Information Collected From NCPA Foundation Registrants and Customers

To gain access to subscription/CE services on the NCPA Foundation Web site, users may be asked to register and provide some information. This information is submitted voluntarily. The NCPA Foundation asks users to provide information such as their name, company/pharmacy name, contact information, business phone/fax, and e-mail.

Information Collected From General Users

The NCPA Foundation does not collect any personal information from users browsing our Web site. Users to the public areas of the Web site browse anonymously. Only aggregate data (see Log Files) may be collected.

Log Files

We use IP addresses to analyze trends and track users’ movements throughout our site. Aggregate data—such as the number of hits per page, what pages are visited—are also collected. Aggregate data are only used for internal and marketing purposes and do not provide any personally identifying information.

Surveys/Polls

From time-to-time, the NCPA Foundation will feature surveys and user polls on its Web site. Participation is voluntary. Information requested may include name, contact information, demographic information and survey/poll-related information. Such information will be used for improving the use of the NCPA Foundation’s offerings.

Special Offers

The NCPA Foundation may send out information on our products, services or special offers. We offer the option not to receive these types of communications. See Opt-Out/Redress below.

Use of Cookies

Cookies are files that contain information created by a web server that can be stored on a user’s hard disk for use either during a particular session (“per-session” cookie) or for future use (“persistent” cookie). Cookies are not used to disseminate significant information about users over the Internet or to analyze any information that users have knowingly or unknowingly provided. When a user registers, the system will ask whether the user approves of the attachment of a cookie. Users may instruct their Internet browsers to opt out of accepting a “persistent” cookie and rather accept only a “per-session” cookie, but will need to login each time they visit the site to enjoy the full benefits. The NCPA Foundation Web site contains links to other Web sites. The NCPA Foundation has no control over, and is not responsible for the privacy policies or content of such sites.

Opt-Out/Redress

Users who no longer wish to receive our newsletters or promotional materials may opt-out of receiving these communications by replying to the listed unsubscribe address or e-mail us directly at ncpaf@ncpafoundation.org.

Donor Privacy Policy

Donors are vital to the success of the NCPA Foundation. Therefore, we are committed to building your trust and keeping your personal information secure. Personal information is any information that can be used to identify, contact, or distinguish a specific individual as well as information that identifies you personally, such as your name, address, telephone number, and email address.

This donor privacy policy is incorporated into the NCPA Foundation privacy policy by reference. The NCPA Foundation will never rent, loan or sell your personal information with anyone else or with any other organization. Partners of the NCPA Foundation may have access to your personal information for the purposes of facilitating the acceptance and management of your donation.

This donor policy applies to any information received by NCPA Foundation both online and offline, including electronic or written communications.

Donating Online: When you donate online by credit card, you must submit your name, your credit card number and billing information for credit card verification purposes. This information allows our credit card processor to process and fulfill your donation, to notify you of your donation status or to associate your donation with a particular fundraising campaign.

The payment information you provide on the giving website when making a donation is transmitted and stored securely by our payment processor. You should review their privacy policy and contact them directly support@givebutter.com with any questions about payment security.

Donating Anonymously: If you would like to donate anonymously, please indicate this when making your donation. Whether online, or by check, you can indicate that you wish to remain anonymous by noting it on the donation form or in the memo line of the check.

Correcting Your Personal Information: If at any time you believe the information collected by NCPA Foundation is incorrect or inappropriate, simply email us at ncpaf@ncpafoundation.org to have your information changed or removed from our database.

Right to Erasure: If you wish to have your information removed from our system, email ncpaf@ncpafoundation.org. For your privacy and security, we may ask for further confirmation that your email address is associated with your giving record.
