Pathways to Pharmacy Ownership is a free, year-long program that turns ownership from a dream into a plan. You’ll be paired with a mentor who owns a pharmacy today, build your business skills through webinars and guided training, and have your business plan reviewed by industry experts before it ever reaches a lender.
Pathways was created for individuals who historically have not had equal opportunity to attain pharmacy ownership. If that’s your story, this program was built for you. And the best part? There’s no cost to participate, just your time and dedication.
What You Can Expect
- A pharmacy owner-mentor — one-on-one guidance from someone who has walked the path you’re on
- Business training — webinars and self-directed activities covering the essential business principles of pharmacy ownership
- A scholarship to NCPA’s Ownership Workshop — the profession’s premier intensive on buying and running an independent pharmacy
- Expert business plan review — industry professionals strengthen your plan before you submit it to financial institutions

Why This Work Is Important To Us
For too long, aspiring owners have been under-resourced and unsupported. We’re here to change that. Communities deserve pharmacists and pharmacies who reflect their culture.
Pathways exists to grow the number of U.S. pharmacies owned by people who historically haven’t had equal opportunity; by removing barriers to knowledge and networks, building mentor relationships between experienced and aspiring owners, and fostering a diverse community of collaboration and idea sharing.
