The NCPA Foundation Secure Sharps Disposal Program, offered in partnership with Medical Waste Pros, positions your independent pharmacy as that destination. Here’s how the model works: your pharmacy purchases sharps disposal bins through the program, patients pay a fee to use the disposal service, and a portion of every bin purchase flows back to the NCPA Foundation to support our mission.

This program is open to all independent community pharmacies, regardless of NCPA membership status.

How It Works

- Connect with a Certified Enrollment Advisor from Medical Waste Pros — they’ll walk you through bin purchasing, pricing, and setup at no cost to you. Enrollment Advisors do not sell services; their role is to guide you through the program.
- Get listed on Medical Waste Pros’ national consumer mapping tool so patients in your area can find you.
- Purchase your bins – for every sharps disposal bin your pharmacy buys, a portion of the proceeds goes directly to the NCPA Foundation.
- Start accepting sharps from walk-in patients, who pay a fee for the disposal service, generating revenue for your pharmacy.
